Our handmade bonnet wing or fender mouldings sit behind the headlights on top of the wing/fender bodywork on all DB2 models.
Manufactured from brass with two 2BA threaded studs and one 4BA threaded pin at the narrower rear end, and supplied with brass washers and nuts. Dimensions and part-shape are derived from original drawings and measurements taken from original parts over many decades.
Supplied as a pairs only. One for the near-side one for the off-side.
Being a smaller, tighter design these mouldings are not filled with body-solder.
Entirely handmade using DMark® custom tooling, jigs, patterns and aids and derived from data from original factory parts and drawings, each trim is polished and ready for plating.
All DMark® DB2 wing moulding pairs are finished as polished brass, ready for chrome.
Customers have the option to receive their new wing moulding pairs in polished brass or chrome.
Be rest assured at DMark® we only work with long-standing, reputable electroplating firms for our work and products. These DB2 wing moulding pairs are essentially a “bolt-on” component so some clients prefer DMark® to handle the chrome plating. However we do appreciate there are others who will handle the chrome plating themselves and prefer to have their component in polished brass. Perhaps you’re restoring the whole car and want to have all your chrome plating done at once after a dry-fit?
For the most part, we usually have wing moulding pairs In Stock, if not, lead-times are fairly low.
Fixtures and fasteners (nuts and bolts) are supplied.
Customers will be aware that, in particular, when vehicles have had extensive repairs; their bodywork, paintwork and the extent of body-filler used can change the panel-shape of the zone mouldings are meant to sit. At DMark® we have taken great care to replicate the most original shape known but occasionally that may differ from the surface geometry of a vehicle. A similar scenario could also mean stud holes in the bodywork may differ to the stud positions of new DMark® parts.
This version fits the bonnet fitted to DB2 models with the higher headlights but with no bezel mounted Lucus motif.
The front tip is narrower and pinches in slightly over the versions paired with the motif.
DMark® has been manufacturing this moulding type for the longest time.
This version fits the bonnet shape fitted to earlier DB2 models with lower headlights so has a more acute angle at the front tip over the later bonnet type, and normally paired with a Lucus motif that sits on top of the headlight bezel.
This version fits the bonnet shape fitted to later DB2 models with higher headlights so has a steeper angle at the front tip over the earlier bonnet type, and normally paired with a Lucus motif that sits on top of the headlight bezel.
