Handmade from brass – rear number plate surround housings for the square type plates are fitted to the bodywork of a variety of DB2 through to the later DB2/4 Mk3 models that house this number plate size.
Derived from drawings and measurements taken from original factory parts, and fabricated using our own DMark® custom tooling, jigs, patterns and aids – this surround housing type comes as a single component
At DMark® we’re also happy to accommodate those who require custom sizing or modifications – specific to their particular number plate size – when given appropriate dimensions and direction.
The factory version is 14″ from inside edge across (max width of number plate)
All DMark® DB2 rear number plate surround housings are finished as polished brass, ready for chrome.
Customers have the option to receive their new number plate housings in polished brass or chrome.
Be rest assured at DMark® we only work with long-standing, reputable electroplating firms for our work and products. These DB2 ear number plate surround housings are essentially a “bolt-on” component so some clients prefer DMark® to handle the chrome plating. However we do appreciate there are others who will handle the chrome plating themselves and prefer to have their component in polished brass. Perhaps you’re restoring the whole car and want to have all your chrome plating done at once after a dry-fit?
For the most part, these housings are Made-to-Order.
Fixtures and fasteners (nuts and bolts) are supplied.
Customers will be aware that, in particular, when vehicles have had extensive repairs; their bodywork, paintwork and the extent of body-filler used can change the panel-shape of the zone mouldings are meant to sit. At DMark® we have taken great care to replicate the most original shape known but occasionally that may differ from the surface geometry of a vehicle. A similar scenario could also mean stud holes in the bodywork may differ to the stud and fixing positions of new DMark® parts.
This number plate surround houses the square style number plate and is fitted on the bodywork rather than the bootlid.
Rear number plate housing for the square type number plates fit to the vehicle’s bodywork rather than the boot-lid and our custom variant can be any width or height providing customers the option to house any size number plate they wish.
Some vehicles had number plate surrounds that housed the number plate entirely and wrapped underneath. We could make this rarer version if customers supply their actual number plate dimensions or the plate itself.
